Mouse anti Rabies Virus Antibody, clone 6041 is a monoclonal antibody raised in mouse that recognizes the rabies virus surface glycoprotein, commonly referred to as the Rabies virus glycoprotein G.

This antibody has been validated for ELISA, IHC and IF.

The Rabies virus surface glycoprotein is a structural viral protein that plays a central role in viral attachment and entry into host cells by mediating receptor binding and membrane fusion. This glycoprotein is expressed on the outer envelope of the virion and is exposed on infected cells during viral replication. The glycoprotein binds to host cell surface receptors and is a major target of neutralising antibodies during infection.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
