Mouse anti Human TNF alpha antibody, clone M22-1E1 recognizes human tumor necrosis factor, also known as cachectin or tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 2. TNF alpha is a proinflammatory cytokine, which exists in both a transmembrane and mature soluble form and has many biological properties. These include activation of transcription factor NF-kappaB, the induction of apoptosis in various tumor cell lines and the stimulation of cell differentiation and proliferation under certain conditions. TNF ALPHA has also been recognized as a significant factor in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases (Jang et al. 2021). |
