- TNF Alpha
Mouse anti Human TNF alpha antibody, clone B-C7 recognizes human tumor necrosis factor, also known as Cachectin or Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 2. TNFα exists as a 233 amino acid membrane bound form, a single pass type II transmembrane protein which can be cleaved between residues 76 and 77 by ADAM17, also known as CD156b to yield the 157 amino acid soluble form of TNFα (UniProt: P01375). Mouse anti Human TNF alpha antibody, clone B-C7 recognizes both natural and bacterially producted recombinant human TNF-alpha and has an affinity of Kd = 0.5nM. Mouse anti Human TNF alpha antibody, clone B-C7 demonstrates neutralising activity against human TNF-alpha. Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to functional assays. |
