| Mouse anti Human KIF3A antibody, clone rAB08/2H12 recognizes kinesin-like protein KIF3A, also known as microtubule plus end-directed kinesin motor 3A. Kinesin-like protein KIF3A is a member of the kinesin 2 family that is ubiquitously expressed. In cells, KIF3A forms a heterodimer with KIF3B or KIF3C that associates with the kinesin superfamily-associted protein 3 KAP3 to form KIF3, a plus end-directed microtubule-dependent molecular motor. The KIF3 heterotrimeric complex is of crucial importance for the axonal transport and for the left-right axis determination during development. KIF3A has been shown to act downstream of the Hedgehog-signaling complex to regulate tumorigenesis (Huanfu et al., 2003). Its overexpression has also been associated with tumor reoccurrence and cellular invasion (Wang et al., 2020). |
