Mouse anti Human interleukin-17A/F antibody, clone D01-1C2, recognizes interleukin-17 A and F. The IL-17 family consists of six proteins (IL-17A to IL-17F) which function as proinflammatory cytokines, important for defence against pathogens (Gurczynski and Moore, 2017). Accordingly, IL-17-producing CD4+ T helper cells, also called Th17 cells, play important roles in immune defense. Uncontrolled IL-17 signaling is associated with immunopathology, autoimmune diseases, and cancer, and blocking activity of IL-17 can be beneficial in some clinical settings (Amatya et al. 2017). This antibody recognizes IL-17A, the most studied member of the IL-17 family, and its closest relative IL-17F (Chen and Kolls 2017). These two proteins have similar structure and inflammatory function, but unique functions of IL-17F in the immune system have also been indicated (Chang and Dong, 2009). The purified Mouse anti Human interleukin-17A/F antibody, clone D01-1C2 (MCA6206GA) can be used as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA with the biotinylated Mouse anti Human interleukin-17A/F antibody, clone I07-5E4 (MCA6207B) as the detection antibody. |
