Mouse anti Human IL-1 beta, clone 2E8
recognizes human interleukin-1β, also known as catabolin. IL-1β is a 153 amino acid ~18 kDa with an additional 116 propeptide region, cleaved in the mature form. IL-1β is a potent proinflammatory cytokine released by activated macrophages as a ~35 proprotein which is then cleaved by caspase-1 to yield the active cytokine (Andrei et al. 2004

This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
