| Mouse anti human EPHA2 antibody, clone rL02/4G6 recognizes Ephrin type-A receptor 2, also known as Epithelial cell kinase or Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor ECK. EPHA2 is a 117kDa transmembrane receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor (EphA) subfamily of protein-tyrosine kinase. Unlike other receptor-tyrosine kinase of the EphA family, EPHA2 is expressed in adult epithelila tissues where it is thought to regulate cell growth, migration, survival and angiogenesis. EPHA2 overexpression is a marker of poor prognosis in cancer that has been correlated with increased tumor invasivness and poor clinical outcome. |
