| Mouse anti Human CD99 antibody, clone rA24B24-01/1H10, is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD99, also known as protein MIC2. CD99 is a single pass type I transmembrane protein that is widely expressed on the surface of most human cells. It is particularly highly expressed in hematopoietic cells, the thymus, endothelial cells and Sertoli cells. CD99 has two isoforms that are expressed in a cell-type dependent manner and have different functions. CD99 has a role in T cell development, migration, proliferation and stimulation, regulating Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Class I transport to the cell surface and diapedesis of monocytes across the endothelium. CD99 is highly expressed in certain malignancies including Ewing sarcoma, myeloid malignancies, lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia and malignant glioma. In tumors that overexpress CD99, it has been used as a biomarker and promising therapeutic target. |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
