| Mouse anti Human CD95 antibody, clone rE06-1A9, is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD95, also known as Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 6 (TNFRSF6), FAS, APO-1 antigen or FASLG receptor. CD95 is a single pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a prototypic death receptor. It is widely expressed throughout the body, particularly by activated T and B cells, NK cells and thymocytes. Upon binding of its ligand CD95L (CD178), CD95 interacts with adaptor proteins to form a death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), initiating a cascade of caspases and mediating apoptosis. CD95 is also able to promote inflammation, cell growth and migration through other signaling pathways, including PI3K, NFκB and JNK MAPKs. Alterations in the CD95/CD95L pathway are associated with various diseases, including autoimmune diseases, inflammation and cancer. Mutations in the CD95 gene, FAS, can lead to the development of Autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome 1A (ALPS1A), an apoptotic disorder with early onset, resulting in an accumulation of autoreactive lymphocytes. |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
