| Mouse anti Human CD93 antibody, clone rA50B50-02/1F3, is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD93, also known as Complement component C1q receptor, C1qR1 or C1qRp. CD93 is a single-pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein part of the C-type lectin domain (CTLD) group 14 family. It is predominantly expressed on endothelial cells but is also expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, monocytes, neutrophils, B cells, natural killer cells and platelets. CD93 regulates a range of physiological processes such as angiogenesis, cell adhesion, cell migration and clearance of apoptotic cells by interacting multimerin-2 and insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7. In B cells, CD93 expression maintains antibody secretion. Despite its name, CD93 does not directly engage with C1q. CD93 dysregulation has been reported in various conditions, including inflammation, autoimmune disorders, cancer and cardiovascular disease. CD93 is highly expressed in tumor-associated blood vessels and is correlated with poor prognosis and advanced disease. |
