F Reset| Mouse anti Human CD186 antibody, clone rD02-7B3, is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD186, also known as C-X-C chemokine receptor type 6 (CXCR6), Bonzo or STRL33. CD186 is a 39kDa G protein-coupled chemokine receptor which is expressed on CD4+ T cells, NK cells and plasma cells, as well as lymphoid tissues. It is expressed at a very low level on naïve CD8+ T cells, with expression upregulated after activation. Through interactions with its ligand CXCL16, CD186 is involved in chemotaxis, aiding in immune responses by recruiting cells to sites of inflammation. CD186 acts as a co-receptor for m-tropic HIV-1 and SIVs in conjunction with CD4. Dysfunction or altered expression of CD186 has been linked to several autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. In rheumatoid arthritis, elevated expression is found in T cells found in synovial fluid, where it is implicated in disease pathogenesis by inducing T-lymphocyte homing to the joints and Th1 polarization. Expression is also upregulated on T cells in the colons of patients with Crohn’s disease. CD8+ T cell trafficking to the skin in vitiligo patients is mediated by CD186-CXCL16 interactions. |
