| Mouse anti Human CD123 antibody, clone rA26B26-02-4B11, is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD123, also known as the human interleukin-3 (IL-3) receptor alpha chain or IL-3RA. CD123 is the primary low-affinity subunit of the IL-3 receptor, and heterodimerises with the β common subunit (CD131) to form the high affinity IL-3 receptor. CD123 contains two fibronectin III-like domains that bind IL-3, and an N-terminal domain that plays a key role in regulating function and preventing spontaneous receptor dimerization. CD123 is expressed on various hematopoietic cells, including myeloid progenitors, monocytes, basophils and plasmacytoid dendritic cells. CD123 has been found to be upregulated in several hematological malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), Hodgkin lymphoma, hairy cell leukemia, blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) and systemic mastocytosis. The differential expression between neoplastic cells and normal precursors has highlighted CD123 as an attractive diagnostic biomarker and potential target for therapy. |
