| Mouse anti human caveolin 3 antibody, clone CD05-4A6 recognizes caveolin 3, also known as M-caveolin. Caveolin 3 is the major structural protein of caveolae in muscle. Mutations in the CAV3 gene have been shown to result in a number of different types of myopathies with altered membrane integrity and repair, protein expression, and cell signaling regulation in the cells of muscle tissue (Dewulf et al. 2019). Up-regulation of caveolin in senescent cells attenuates EGF signaling (Park et al. 2019). |
