| Mouse anti Dog CD20 antibody, clone NCD1.2 recognizes dog CD20. CD20 is an atypical tetraspanin expressed on B cells and is involved in B cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation. Similar to its expression in humans, canine CD20 is found on most mature B cells and is an important target for diagnosing and treating B-cell malignancies such as lymphoma. The extracellular domains of canine CD20 differ significantly in sequence and antigenicity from human CD20, which prevents most therapeutic anti human CD20 antibodies from binding to the canine protein. Mouse anti Dog CD20, clone NCD1.2, has been shown to detect CD20 on canine B cells, medium-sized B-cell lymphoma, and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (Jain et al. 2016). Studies using HDX-MS have also identified the dominant paratope in CD20 binding by NCD1.2, providing structural insights for antibody optimization for lymphoma treatment (Uhrik et al. 2021). |
