Rat anti Rabbit IgG antibody, clone LO-RG-1 is a monoclonal antibody which recognizes rabbit (lapine) immunoglobulin G (IgG), binding to epitopes located within the IgG gamma heavy chain.

This antibody is designed for detection of rabbit IgG and is not expected to show significant cross‑reactivity with IgG from other species, based on the unique structural characteristics described for rabbit IgG Fc domains. It has been validated for use in ELISA and immunofluorescence.

IgG is the predominant immunoglobulin isotype in serum and plays a central role in humoral immune responses. In rabbits, structural variations in the Fc region contribute to species‑specific interactions with Fc‑binding proteins and detection reagents, which is an important consideration in assay design and antibody‑based detection systems.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
