Rat anti Mouse CD48 antibody, clone OX-78 recognizes murine CD48 antigen, also known as BCM1 surface antigen, BLAST-1, HM48-1, MRC OX-45 surface antigen, SLAM family member 2. CD48 is a 195 amino acid GPI anchored membrane glycoprotein with an additional 22 amino acid signal peptide and a 23 amino acid propeptide region cleaved in the mature form.

Rat anti Mouse CD48 antibody, clone OX-78 labels mouse thymocytes, B and T cells and macrophages. CD48 is a ligand for the mouse CD2 cell surface antigen.

Application Name Verified Min Dilution Max Dilution
Flow Cytometry Neat 1/5
Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Flow Cytometry
Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul.

The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR ( BUF041A/B).
