Bio-Rad provides an extensive collection of antibodies for F4/80 clone CI:A3-1, with performance guarantee in key immunological applications including Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting and Immunofluorescence. Listed below is a selection of images, showing the use of F4/80 in various applications. The images have been organized per application.
Bio-Rad also provides dedicated application pages that have been specifically designed to aid the quick and easy selection of antibodies, kits or reagents per application. These application pages also provide:
Fig 1. Frozen mouse spleen stained with:
A: Rat anti mouse F4/80 (MCA497G) at a dilution of 1/100 followed by goat anti rat IgG:HRP (STAR72) at 1/50 dilution.
B: Rat anti mouse F4/80 (MCA497G) preincubated with 2 molar excess of human anti Idiotypic CI:A3-1 (F4/80) antibody (HCA154) followed by goat anti rat IgG:HRP (STAR72).
C: Rat anti mouse F4/80 (MCA497G) at a 1/100 dilution followed by goat anti rat IgG Antibody: HRP (STAR72) as the secondary antibody at a 1/50 dilution.
For all your multicolor Flow Cytometry needs antibodies are available conjugated to a large selection of Alexa Fluor® and conventional dyes such as FITC and PE. The fluorescence conjugate options also include two exclusive Alexa Fluor® tandems; RPE-Alexa Fluor® 647 and RPE-Alexa Fluor® 750. A low endotoxin version of the CI:A3-1 F4/80 antibody is available for use in functional studies. It is also worth noting that handy prepared cocktails which are 2, 3 or 4 colored are available.
Fig 1. Overlay histogram showing, in red, J774 cells stained with rat anti mouse F4/80, Low Endotoxin (MCA497EL) at 1/50 dilution followed by goat anti rat IgG FITC secondary antibody (STAR69) at a 1/100 dilution. The blue peak corresponds to a population of J774 cells stained with rat anti mouse isotype control.
Fig 2. Overlay histogram showing, in red, J774 cells stained with rat anti mouse F4/80 antibody, Biotin (MCA497B) at 1/10 dilution followed by streptavidin, FITC (STAR2B) at a 1/100 dilution. The blue peak corresponds to a population of J774 cells stained with rat anti mouse isotype control.
Fig 3. RPE conjugated mouse anti mouse CD14 (MCA2745PE) and FITC conjugated rat anti mouse F4/80 (MCA497F). All experiments performed on murine peritoneal macrophages in the presence of murine SeroBlock (BUF041A).
Fig 4. Dot Blot showing FSC/SSC gated mouse peritoneal macrophages dual stained with F4/80 antibody, FITC (MCA497F) at a 1/5 dilution and CD11b antibody (MCA74A647) at a 1/5 dilution. Isotype control pair in red. Fc receptors were blocked by mouse Seroblock (BUF041B).
Fig 5. Dot Blot showing FSC/SSC gated mouse peritoneal macrophages dual stained with F4/80 antibody, APC (MCA487APC) at a 1/5 dilution and CD169 antibody (MCA884F) at a neat dilution. Isotype control pair in red. Fc receptors were blocked by mouse Seroblock (BUF041B).
