Rabbit anti DYKDDDDK Tag antibody recognizes the hydrophilic epitope tagging octapeptide sequence DYKDDDDK (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys), when fused to either the amino- or carboxyl- terminus of target proteins.

Rabbit anti DYKDDDDK Tag antibody has been tested against both the immunogen and recombinant proteins containing the DYKDDDDK sequence in ELISA and Western blotting and shows greater binding affinity and sensitivity to fusion proteins containing the DYKDDDDK sequence than the clones M1, M2 and M5, in the majority of assays.

In Western blotting of bacterial extracts Rabbit anti DYKDDDDK Tag antibody does not cross-react with any endogenous proteins.

Target Species
Synthetic Peptide

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
