| Goat anti Human IgM antibody recognizes human IgM and shows minimal cross-reactivity with other human immunoglobulin classes. This antiserum has not been cross adsorbed and may react with the mu chain of IgM from other species. The Ig mu chain is a 452 amino acid ~50kDa member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed as a single pass type I transmembrane molecule on the surface of B-cells and as a circulating secreted form (UniProt: P01871) Goat anti Human IgM antibody has been successfully used as a capture reagent in the development of a sensitive sandwich ELISA for the evaluation of IgM levels in human samples. This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
