Rat anti Mouse CD62L, clone MEL-14, recognizes mouse L-selectin. L-selectin is an adhesion molecule expressed on most T and B lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes and eosinophils, (Fink, P. et al., 1985).

Pre-incubation of lymphocytes with MEL-14 completely and specifically blocks binding of lymphocytes to high endothelial venules (HEV) in vitro and the migration of lymphocytes to lymph nodes in vivo (Gallatin et al. 1983). Removal of sodium azide is recommended prior to using this clone in functional assays.

Application Name Verified Min Dilution Max Dilution
Flow Cytometry Neat 1/2
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Flow Cytometry
Use 10μl of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100μl.
The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR (BUF041A/BUF041B).
