| Rabbit anti Human OGA antibody recognizes OGA (O-GlcNAcase), also known as glycoside hydrolase, BtGH84 or O-GlcNAc hydrolase. OGA catalyses the removal of O-GlcNAc post-translational modifications; a reversible enzymatic post-translational modification characterized by a β-glycosidic bond between the hydroxyl group of serine or threonine side chains and N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) Removal of O-GlcNAc from proteins like tau and the β-amyloid protein has been linked neurological disorders (Wells et al. 2002). |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
