| Rabbit anti Human JMJD6 antibody recognizes bifunctional arginine demethylase and lysyl-hydroxylase JMJD6. JMJD6 is a member of the alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylase superfamily located in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells (Vandivier et al. 2002). JMJD6 plays a role in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and may function as protein hydroxylase or a histone demethylase and play a role in angiogenesis (Boeckel et al. 2011). Aberrant levels of JMJD6 have also been observed in some breast cancers and may be associated with increased tumor aggressiveness and metastasis (Aprelikova et al. 2016). |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
