Rabbit anti Human Interleukin-2 (IL 2) Antibody, Preservative Free is a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit that recognizes human interleukin 2 (IL-2). Interleukin 2 is also known as T cell growth factor (TCGF). This antibody has been validated for ELISA, western blotting and functional assays. It has also been reported to cross react with rhesus monkey.IL-2 is an immunoregulatory cytokine that plays a central role in immune regulation by supporting the proliferation, survival, and differentiation of activated T lymphocytes and the maintenance of regulatory T cells. It is primarily produced by activated CD4 positive T cells and, to a lesser extent, by activated CD8 positive T cells and natural killer cells. IL-2 interacts with the interleukin 2 receptor complex composed of IL 2Rα (CD25), IL 2Rβ (CD122), and the common γ chain (CD132), initiating signalling required for adaptive immune responses. |

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
