| Rabbit anti Human histone H2A (pThr120) antibody recognizes histone H2A when phosphorylated at threonine 120. Histone H2A is one of the four core histones that make up the nucleosome core particle. Nucleosomes are the smallest subunit of chromatin and are made up of 146 bp of DNA wrapped around an octamer comprised of pairs of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) (Smith, 1991). Phosphorylation of histone H2A at threonine 120 promotes oncogenic transformation in human cancer cell lines via upregulation of cyclin D1 (Aihara et al. 2016). Wide species cross-reactivity is expected from Rabbit anti Human histone H2A (pThr120) antibody based on sequence homology. |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
