| Rabbit anti Human BAZ2A antibody recognizes bromodomain adjacent to zinc finger domain protein 2A, also known as transcription termination factor I-interacting protein 5 or hWALp3. BAZ2A is an essential component of the NoRC (nucleolar remodeling complex) complex. This complex mediates the silencing of a fraction of rDNA by recruiting histone-modifying enzymes and DNA methyltransferases, which leads to heterochromatin formation and transcriptional silencing (Strohner et al. 2004). |

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
