No cross adsorption was performed; the antibody may show cross reactivity with immunoglobulins from other species and with light chains of other chicken immunoglobulins. This antibody has been validated for ELISA. Structurally, IgY consists of two heavy chains and two light chains, similar to IgG, but differs by having an additional constant domain and no hinge region, resulting in a higher molecular weight and distinct Fc properties. |
