Human Anti-Ocrelizumab Antibody, clone AbD50641ia is a paratope specific, inhibitory, anti-idiotypic antibody (Type 1) that specifically recognizes the free human monoclonal antibody drug ocrelizumab and its biosimilar products. Consequently, this antibody can be used to measure free ocrelizumab levels in serum from patients.

Clone AbD50641ia (HCA400) is a fully human recombinant monoclonal antibody with IgG1 isotype and is suitable as a positive control or calibrator in an anti-drug antibody (ADA) assay.

This clone is also available in a monovalent Fab antibody format under product code TZA044 which has a SpyTag incorporated for conversion by the user into alternative antibody formats using any of the SpyCatchers available in our catalog.

This Anti-Ocrelizumab Antibody cross-reacts with the drug rituximab (Rituxan). Ocrelizumab is the humanized form of rituximab. There are changes in at least one of the CDRs and it contains Fc modification.

Ocrelizumab (trade name Ocrevus) is a monoclonal IgG1/kappa antibody (VH3/κ1). In vitro, it binds to CD20 cell surface molecules on target cells thereby inducing immune effector mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), and apoptosis. In vivo, ocrelizumab selectively and effectively depletes CD20+ B cells. Hence, it is an immunosuppressive drug. Ocrelizumab is used to treat primary progressive multiple sclerosis and relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis in adults (including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease).
