Rat anti Mouse CD94 antibody, clone 18d3
recognizes murine CD94, a ~70 kDa cell surface glycoprotein expressed primarily by mouse natural killer (NK) cells. The murine CD94 molecule forms heterodimers with NKG2A, C or E subunits to form the CD94/NKG2 receptor.
In mice the CD94/NKG2 receptor recognizes Qa-1b
, a non-classical MHC class 1 molecule. CD94/NKG2 receptors may play an important role in self-tolerance of NK cells during fetal and neonatal life.
N.B. Recent reports suggest that DBA/2J mice do not express cell surface CD94/NKG2A receptors (Vance et al. 2002

- Spleen cells from immunized Lewis rats were fused with cells of the mouse P3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cell line.
- This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.

It is recommended that the user titrates the antibody for use in their own system using the appropriate negative/positive controls.
