| Rabbit anti CD276 antibody recognizes CD276 antigen, also known as B7-H3. CD276 is a type I transmembrane protein which acts as a co-stimulatory/co-inhibitory molecule in the immune system to induce cellular immunity (Zhang and Hao 2019). CD276 functions as an immune checkpoint protein induced on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and is important for inhibition of T cell function. This protein is overexpressed in a range of solid cancers and tumor-infiltrating blood vessels and frequently correlates with negative prognosis and poor clinical outcome (Picarda et al. 2017). Anti-CD276 drug conjugates have been suggested as promising anti-cancer therapies, due to the overexpression of CD276 on tumors making it possible to distinguish between physiological and pathological processes (Seaman et al. 2018). |
