Human Anti-Abatacept, clone AbD37065ia is a recombinant antibody that specifically recognizes the fusion protein drugs abatacept, belatacept as well as cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen-4 (CTLA-4), also known as CD152. The antibody binds to free abatacept and belatacept, and can be used to measure free abatacept, abatacept biosimilars, belatacept and belatacept biosimilars in patient samples. Clone AbD37065ia is a fully human recombinant monoclonal antibody with an IgG1 isotype and is suitable as a surrogate positive control or reference standard in an anti-drug antibody (ADA) assay. Abatacept (Orencia) is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of the extra-cellular domain of human CTLA-4, fused to the modified Fc (hinge, CH2, and CH3 domains) portion of human IgG1. It is used to treat several autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis, by inhibiting optimal T-cell activation.
