| Rabbit anti Nerve Growth Factor 2.5S antibody recognises murine Beta-nerve growth factor, also known as Nerve growth factor or NGF. Rabbit anti Nerve Growth Factor 2.5S antibody recognizes both the 2.5S and 7S forms of mouse nerve growth factor beta, a secreted peptide involved in the development and maintenance of the sympathetic and sensory nervous systems. In a standard bioassay, this antibody neutralises the activity of 3.0 ng/ml NGF 2.5S when used at a concentration of around 0.5 μg/ml. |

Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. For long term storage the addition of 0.09% sodium azide is recommended.

- Antiserum to NGF 2.5S was raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography on Protein G.
