Goat anti Mouse IgG2a is a polyclonal antibody that recognizes mouse immunoglobulin G subclass 2a (IgG2a).

This antibody has been reported to work in the following application: ELISA.

IgG2a is a major IgG subclass in mouse serum and is associated with immune responses involving effector functions. Goat anti Mouse IgG2a has been used as a secondary detection reagent for mouse IgG2a labelled targets in immunological assays. Its use has been reported in studies involving antibody‑mediated immune responses in BALB/c mouse models.

Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to mouse IgG2a were raised by repeated immunisations of goats with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography on mouse IgG2a covalently linked to agarose. This preparation has been cross absorbed with mouse IgM, IgG1, IgG2b, IgG3 and IgA to ensure class specificity.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
