Hamster anti mouse Fc epsilon R1 alpha, clone MAR-1 recognizes Fc receptor epsilon R1 alpha also known as FceRIalpha or high affinity IgE receptor. The Fc epsilon R1 complex is involved in initiating IgE-mediated allergic reactions. Fc receptor epsilon is primarily expressed on mast cells and basophils. Activation of Fc epsilon R1 leads to release of allergic mediators such as histamine.
