| Mouse anti Human CD31 antibody recognizes the CD31 antigen, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule or PECAM-1. Encoded by PECAM1 gene, this adhesion molecule is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. CD31 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation (provided by RefSeq, May 2010). Mouse anti Human CD31 antibody detects a band of 130 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
