Rabbit anti STAT6 (pTyr641) antibody
recognizes STAT6, also known as IL-4 Stat when phosphorylated at tyrosine 641. STAT6 is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. STATs reside in the cytosol until activated. Upon activation STATs dimerize and translocate to the nucleus where they exert their transcriptional effects. STAT6 is phosphorylated at tyrosine 641 by Janus associated kinases (JAKs) leading to dimerization and relocation to the nucleus (Wurster et al. 2000

- Antiserum to STAT6 (pTyr641) was raised by repeated immunization of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
