| Mouse anti Human SOX9 antibody, clone OTI2H10 recognizes the transcription factor SOX9, also known as SRY (sex-determining region Y)-box 9 protein and SRY-related HMG-box, gene 9. The protein encoded by the SOX9 gene recognizes the sequence CCTTGAG along with other members of the HMG-box class DNA-binding proteins. It acts during chondrocyte differentiation and, with steroidogenic factor 1, regulates transcription of the anti-Muellerian hormone (AMH) gene. Deficiencies lead to the skeletal malformation syndrome campomelic dysplasia, frequently with sex reversal (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008). Mouse anti Human SOX9 antibody, clone OTI2H10 detects a band of 70 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
