| Rabbit anti prostein antibody recognizes solute carrier family 45 member 3, also known as SLC45A3 and prostate cancer-associated protein 6. Prostein is a prostate-specific protein which is uniquely and abundantly expressed in both normal and malignant prostate cells (Xu et al. 2001). Within prostate cells, prostein expression is restricted to internal perinuclear organelles including the Golgi apparatus (Pin et al. 2017). Prostein has been investigated as a potential vaccine candidate for prostate cancer (Friedman et al. 2004). Loss of prostein protein expression has been identified in 30% of prostate tumors (Hernández-Llodrà et al. 2017). |
