| Rabbit anti MSH3 antibody recognizes DNA mismatch repair protein Msh3, also known as DUP and MRP1. MSH3 is a DNA mismatch repair protein essential for CAG.CTG repeat expansion. It is a genetic modifier of somatic instability in myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) and progression in Huntington's disease (Flower et al. 2019). Mismatch repair is one of the most important DNA repair processes, correcting errors introduced during DNA replication and contributing to apoptotic signaling (Yang et al. 2018). Deficiency in MSH3 results in suppressed homologous recombination, and MSH3 frequently undergoes somatic mutation in mismatch repair-deficient cancers (Takahashi et al. 2011). |
