| Mouse anti HDGF antibody recognizes the Hepatoma-derived growth factor, also known as High mobility group protein 1-like 2. HDGF is a 27kDa heparin-binding glycoprotein that belongs to the HDGF-related protein family of growth factors. HDGF is ubiquitously expressed and localizes at the nucleus where it acts as a transcription coactivator for lipid metabolism genes (Min et al. 2018) and stimulates cell proliferation (Kishima et al. 2002). HDGF has also been shown to participate in numerous cellular processes such as tissue remodeling, cell migration and angiogenesis (Enomoto et al. 2015) and an increase in its expression has been described as a poor prognosis marker in numerous cancers. |
