| Mouse anti GNAQ antibody recognizes guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(q) subunit alpha, also known as GAQ. GNAQ encodes an alpha subunit of G proteins, which control ion channels to transmit signals across cell membranes (Inanobe and Kurachi 2014). GNAQ is involved in the endothelin signaling pathway and regulates the migration of melanoblasts in the dermis during development (Urtatiz and Raamsdonk 2016). GNAQ is an oncogene for uveal melanoma, for which there are no effective therapies (Feng et al. 2019). |
