| Rabbit anti CPS1 antibody recognizes carbamoyis a multidomain mitochondrial enzyme which l-phosphate synthase [ammonia], mitochondrial, also known as CPSase I. CPS1 is a multidomain mitochondrial enzyme which produces carbamoyl phosphate (CP) from ammonia and bicarbonate and initiates disposal of nitrogen (Kim et al. 2017). CPS1 is the rate-limiting enzyme in the first step of the urea cycle, and is crucial for correct human liver metabolism. It is involved with arginine and pyrimidine metabolism (Çeliktaş et al. 2017). CPS1 is involved with liver diseases such as hepatitis C (HCV) and hepatic fibrosis (Wu et al. 2020). It is expressed mostly in intestinal epithelial cells and liver cells, but also in many cancer types including liver, colorectal, stomach, cervical, and pancreatic cancer (Çeliktaş et al. 2017). Accordingly, CPS1 is involved with the occurrence and development of malignancies (Wu et al. 2020). |
