| Mouse anti Human CDK13 antibody recognizes cyclin-dependent kinase 13 (CDK13), otherwise known as CRK7 and CRKRS CDK13 is a member of the CDK family of serine/threonine protein kinases which can be divided into two groups, those that regulate the cell cycle and those that regulate transcription (Paculová and Kohoutek 2017). CDK13 is a regulator of transcription, and can upregulate the expression of genes involved with responses to DNA damage, stress, and heat shock (Lui et al. 2018). CDK proteins bind to cyclin subunits to activate their functions. CDK13, like CDK12, forms a complex with cyclin K to regulate several cellular processes (Kohoutek and Blazek 2012). Aberrant levels of CDK13 have been associated with several cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and colorectal cancer, and may affect tumor progression (Dong et al. 2018). Targeting CDK13 have been suggested as a treatment for MYC-dependent ovarian cancers (Zeng et al. 2018). |
