Mouse anti Chicken CD28, clone AV7 recognizes the chicken homologue of mammalian CD28, demonstrating 50% sequence identity and conservation of key functional sequence. In chickens CD28 is expressed by all thymocytes and T cells excluding most of those that are gamma/delta TCR positive (Koskela et al. 1998). The co-stimulatory role of CD28 is important to T cell function in chickens (Arstila et al. 1994).

Mouse anti chicken CD28, clone AV7 has been demonstrated to recognise Turkey CD28 (Powell et al. 2009).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
