Goat anti Mouse STAT3 antibody recognizes an epitope within the C-terminal (CT) region of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), an 80-85 kDa member of the STAT protein family, which plays an important role in cell growth, survival differentiation and transformation, transducing signals from cytokine receptors to the nucleus.

STAT3 is phosphorylated in response to cytokines and growth factors including interleukin-5, interleukin-6, epidermal growth factor and leukaemia inhibitory factor. It is expressed in the heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
