Alexa Fluor 488–Conjugated Antibodies

Overview

Alexa Fluor 488 dyes, part of our Alexa Fluor fluorescent conjugates range, give you outstanding results in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence/confocal microscopy.

Alexa Fluor 488 dyes, sometimes referred to as AF488, are:

  • The finest green fluorophore available
  • Excited by an argon-ion laser
  • Usually detected in the same fluorescence channel as FITC
  • Alternative for fluorescein conjugates (FITC, FAM) and Cy2
  • Brighter and more photostable than fluorescein
