| Goat anti Human MTHFL1 antibody recognizes MTHFL1, also known as monofunctional C1-tetrahydrofolate synthase and mitochondrial formyltetrahydrofolate synthetase. MTHFD1L is involved in the synthesis of tetrahydrofolate (THF) in mitochondria. THF is important in the de novo synthesis of purines and thymidylate and in the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for MTHFD1L (provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011). Goat anti Human MTHFD1L antibody detects a band of 105 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
