Rat anti Mouse MHC Class II H-2I-Ak/D/B/Q/R antibody, clone ER-TR3 recognizes a polymorphic determinant of the mouse H-2I-A MHC class II antigen, reacting with haplotypes k, d, b, q and r. Mouse strains with the haplotypes s and f are not recognized by this antibody.

Mouse MHC class II antigens are expressed by dendritic cells, B cells and macrophages. In thymus tissues, clone ER-TR3 stains cortical and medullary stromal cells.

The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In mice, this complex is referred to as the H-2 region.

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.

The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind to cells expressing low affinity Fc receptors. This may be reduced by using SeroBlock FcR (BUF041A/BUF041B).
