Immunoprecipitation of DNM2 from K562 whole cell lysate. The Input lane is 10% input; the DNM2-IP lane is the immunoprecipitation with the Mouse anti Human DNM2 antibody (2.5 µg, VMA00987); the IgG-IP lane is the immunoprecipitation with Mouse monoclonal IgG (2.5 µg, MCA929). Mouse anti Human DNM2 antibody recognizes dynamin 2.

DNM2 is a ubiquitously expressed large GTPase that plays a role in a number of cellular functions, including membrane trafficking and cytoskeleton regulation. Heterozygous mutations in the DNM2 gene are associated with two tissue-specific diseases that affect peripheral nerves, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) and autosomal dominant centronuclear myopathy (CNM) (Muñoz et al. 2019).
