Recombinant Human Interleukin-6 protein produced in E. coli constitutes full length non-glycosylated human IL-6 and retain full biological activity. Interleukin-6 is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor, acting on B cells, T cells and hybridoma cells. The biological activity of this preparation was determined by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of mouse B9 cells.

Reconstitution
Reconstitute with 0.2ml distilled water.
Care should be taken during reconstitution as the protein may appear as a film at the bottom of the vial. Bio-Rad recommend that the vial is gently mixed after reconstitution. DO NOT VORTEX. For long term storage the addition of 0.1% bovine serum albumin (BSA) is recommended.

This product should be stored undiluted.

Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the protein. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
