Synthetic C-peptide is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 3-33 of Human C-peptide, also known as 'Connecting peptide'.

C-peptide is the product of protease cleavage of proinsulin to produce insulin. Both Insulin and C-peptide are biologically active.
